Sorry, I Suck.

So this whole take a picture of every sunrise and sunset for the entire summer thing, isn't working out. I have discovered that I have become immune to the sound of my alarm clock. My brain has blocked out the sound. So there you have it. I will not be doing the whole picture taking thing any more. However I will be blogging more! Sorry I haven't been on in a while! I have been busy with all the crazy going on in my life right now. BIG CHANGES are happening! asdfghjkl;!!! So much to do! Summer it WAY too short! But you have to make the best of it right? So that's exactly what I am going to do. :)

Love you all!

{In Between} Days 2 & 3

 Sunrise on June 11, 2013

So I am combining the 11th and 12th of this month because I did the same thing on both days.

I cleaned my room.

Now this is no small feat. It is actually quite a production and a tiring one at that! I am, sadly, still not done, but I  am so close! I will be posting some "After" pictures when I am all done, but for now, here are the "Before" pictures!

WARNING:
THE FOLLOWING IMAGES MAY BE DISTURBING

So yeah... This has been my project for the past 2/3 days. It may seem like something that could be done in a day of hard work. But remember that I have to dust all of those shelves, and the shelves in my bed, and the 2 windowsills, AND the shelves at the top of my closet. Then I have to vacuum... EW. So much work... but It will be worth it when I am done, (and I'm SOOO close!!)

So this is what I have been working on for the past 2/3 days. I hope you found it totally entertaining... ;) And if you didn't, here is a video of a really cute kid.

And if that doesn't entertain you... then there's this guy...

ENJOY! :)

{In Between} Day 1

It's the first official day of summer! So today is the day I start my {In Between} project! To get all the details of what {In Between} is click HERE. So without further adieu, here's the first day of summer!

Sunrise Day 1

Today has been a very random day...

5:58 am I got up to take a picture of the first sunrise of summer! :) I then went back to bed. Duh. Around 10:30 I actually woke up for the day and got ready. I love sleeping an extra 5 hours compared to when I get up during the school year! It's basically my favourite thing about summer. I ate some brunch (that sounds WAY to classy, but I ate in between lunch and breakfast..so brunch it is!) and then I got my siblings together and we filled up about 70 water balloons and proceeded to wash our gold minivan (#MinivanSWAG) by throwing water balloons at it and dousing it with soapy suds. We ended up getting in a huge water fight (the inevitable) and the car got clean, so win-win for everyone! After I got dry again, I finished filling out a couple of job applications and then left to turn them in. ( If anyone knows of a place that is hiring please let me know! I will love you forever! ;) ) I also stopped at Bowman's to check on my application there, and to buy some spinach, because if you know me, you know I L-O-V-E my spinach salads! When I got home I got on Pinterest and pretty much waisted an entire hour pinning Harry Potter stuff, which actually isn't a waist of time at all when I think about it... #PotterHeadForLIFE! We had spaghetti (or pasghetti as my little brother likes to call it) for dinner and it's pretty much my favourite so, yay! We had FHE and for our treat we got yummy ice cream shakes. Of course I got Mint Oreo, as usual. It was even yummier than the pasghetti. :) And so here I am, writing this post, at the end of a long, fun, and exciting day. The first day of summer is always sort of a trick, because you don't really feel like it's summer, you feel like you're supposed to be at school or be doing homework. But you're not, so you just sort of do what ever you want, and just float through the day.

Summer, TV is a LIE, and High School

It's the last day of school!!! And I am seriously so excited to be done! Don't get me wrong, I loved this year, but I need it to be summer.

This year has been SO different from last year. No theatre and no choir for me this year! And I probably won’t do preforming arts in High School ever again. Everyone is always shocked when I talk about this and I need to clarify something. I have not stopped singing! Never have and never will! You silly people think that if I’m not doing it in High School that I must have just completely dropped it. This is completely false! I am still singing, just not competitively, because let’s face it, that’s what singing in High School is, a competition, and that’s not what singing is about for me. Singing is about singing. Not who is better at it or who can hold the note out longer. That’s just petty crap that nobody likes to participate in, but everyone has to because that’s how High School works. I just choose not to participate, and that is that. :)
I have really figured out who my REAL friends are this year ( you know who you are :) ) and I am really grateful that I did! High School really shows you who is actually there for you, and I’m grateful for that. I think you either get sucked in by the whole “I NEED to be cool and popular or High School is going to suck” thing, or you figure out that what really matters are your real friends and the memories you make with them, whether other people thing you’re “cool” or not.

I think we all have this preconceived notion about High School because we have watched what it is supposedly like on TV for the past 15 years of our lives. I’m pretty sure that the people who produce and write the shows on Disney Channel have never been to High School. (And the way they portray High School is NOT the only reason I think that…) First of all, nobody uses their lockers, and I mean NOBODY! Secondly, since when you people have time to just sit and talk for 10 minutes between every class? Like, really? That’s a lie. The other weird thing about TV/Movie High School is that the bell rings while people are still in the hall talking/doing their scene, and THEN, only after the bell has rung, do they even think about going to class. So just a tip for all you Jr. High kids, TV is a lie. Go read a book.

This year has been really great! I am going to miss it? No, I will not miss being a sophomore. Not one bit. But I will miss the memories. It’s funny how day to day nothing seems to change, but then you look back and everything is different. I suppose that’s life, though.

Have a lovely day! :)
