{BLOGTEMBER} Day 3

Thursday, September 5: Pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.

All right folks! I have three pieces of advice that I have never forgotten. One comes from a crazy, psycho, guilt-ridden lady. Another from my Grandfather. And one from a 4'9" Power Tumbler and Power Blogger. So lets jump right in shall we?

In the 9th grade I took a theater class my first semester. Traditionally the first semester theater class puts on what is fondly referred to as "Dinner Theatre". Simply put, you eat dinner...while you watch theatre. SO CREATIVE I KNOW RIGHT? ;) The theatre you are watching is actually scenes from William Shakespeare's various plays. Each student in our class was given a role (or in the guys cases multiple roles seeing as there was a guy to girl ratio of about 1 to 5 in the class) and I was selected for the role of Lady Macbeth. I performed the scene where she is sleepwalking and freaking out because she thinks she has blood on her hands. Anyways. The one line of that entire scene that has always stuck with me (Even though I still have the whole thing memorized..) goes as follows,

"What's done cannot be undone."

Being the slightly OCD person that I am, I sometimes freak out if I'm not somewhere on time, or something isn't just right. This line, again and again, reminds me that what's happened is done. Move on. In other words, you're going to be late, so deal with it as it comes and chill out! It really is a great thing to remember. We cannot change the past, but we can roll with the punches and live our lives with the knowledge that,

"Everything will be okay in the end, and if it's

not okay, it is not the end."

-Dennis Davis

(My awesome grandpa)

My third piece of advice comes from my dear friend Whitney. When ever any of our friends are dealing with a problem, she simply says 3 words.

"Pray about it."

It really is the greatest solution. If you are having a hard time, if you are frustrated in school or at work, if you just don't know what to do. Just pray about it! Our Heavenly Father want's to help us and is there to listen and love us! So give him a "call" and let him help you with your troubles.

    1. Thanks! You know your daughter is quite wise as well, and I'm pretty sure you had something to do with that. So thank you for raising such a great girl I am proud to call my friend! :)
