30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 28 & 29 & 30}

Day 28

Well yesterday was so full of family and fun that I didn't get a chance to write! Which, when you think about it, is a wonderful reason to miss a blog post. :) This is going to sound silly, but I am thankful that our house has Christmas lights on it! When we moved they were already up so I guess we just went with it.. It's AWESOME! I love it!

Day 29

Today I am thankful that I have a car to get to school and work in. Well, technically it is my Mom's car and she lets me borrow it on the daily. So I am thankful for my Mom's car.. yeah.

Day 30!!

Well I made it the whole month, how about you? Today I am thankful that I have constant reminders around me every day of just how wonderful Christ is and how much he loves us! Whenever the sky looks really pretty all I can help but think is that "Heavenly Father and Jesus love us a lot! Look at the pretty sky they are giving us!" I am thankful for cute littles and their loving spirits. I am thankful for my warm house, and I am thankful for Christ.

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 27}

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Oh you guys it is one of my favorite days of the year! :D Yay!

Today I am thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life that have shaped who I am and have always shown me love and kindness. My mom, dad, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, friends, best friends, school teachers, Sunday school teachers, Seminary teachers, our dog, and SO MANY MORE WONDERFUL PEOPLE!

You have all made my life so wonderful and I am so thankful for YOU!

O hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving! Drive safe and eat lots of yummy food!

I love you all!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 26}

Today I am thankful for our new Christmas Tree! When we moved last April my mom chucked our old one in the trash. She has told me that throwing away our old tree was the best part of the whole move. In October, Hobby Lobby was having a Christmas Tree sale and my mom took me because the craft store is kind of our thing, and we picked out a tree. It is gorgeous and I love it and I will post a photo once it is all decorated. I know, it is the day before Thanksgiving and I am talking about how I am thankful for our Christmas Tree, but I really am thankful that we have a pretty symbol of the season in our house. It makes me happy and that is why I am thankful for it!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 25}

Guys there are only 30 sleeps until Christmas! :D

That is not what I am thankful for, but it is a happy thought!

Today I am thankful for medical technologies, and the doctors who implement and innovate them. So many people I love have been immensely blessed by modern medicine and the doctors who have treated them.

Also, today I got my dental implant! Yay for sore gums and being a step closer to being done with the massive project that is my teeth and the quest for their perfection. (Not to worry, I can still fully partake of the Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday.)

Seriously guys, Per-Ingvar Brånemark (inventor of the modern dental implant) has not only made it so that I can essentially have the tooth that I never had, but I also don't have to look like a toothless hobo for the rest of my life. That's a nice perk.

There are so many medical technologies from Stethoscopes to MRI machines that have had a huge impact on the health of so many people that I love and I am so thankful that we are so blessed to even have access to these wonderful technologies and doctors. Yay for blessings!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 24}

Today I am thankful for my opportunity to gain an education. Simple as that. Not everyone in the world gets the opportunity I have and I think remembering how lucky I am is a very humbling experience. There are people out there who cannot even write their own names. I can write my name, so I have a responsibility to use the opportunities I have to gain an education. I am thankful for the educational opportunities I have been blessed with. :)

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 22 & 23}

Day 22
Today I am thankful for my Grandparents, Dennis and Anita Davis who have been married for 47 YEARS today!!! :)

Aren't they a gorgeous couple? They are such wonderful examples of true disciples of Christ and I love them SO much! They are off serving their fourth mission in Georgia right now! I miss them, but I am so thankful that the reason I am missing them is because they are serving the Lord. They are my favorite people. :)

Day 23

Today I am thankful for music! Oh you guys, I love music! It is just so dynamic and limitless and it is something that you can always have because everyone has a brain. You don't even have to sing to hear music, just having the song or beat stuck in your head is music and I think it is amazing how we can remember how a song sounds and hear it in our brains. It's awesome! I am thankful for music!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 20 & 21}

Day 20

Today I am thankful that I got to go see "Anything Goes" at Bountiful High tonight! I love a good show and they did an amazing job! Anything Goes is my 3rd most favourite Broadway musical ever so it was a real treat to go and see it. Mom got us tickets (because she works at BHS) and I had forgotten we were going until she reminded me about an hour before we were going so it was kind of like a nice little surprise in a way because I had forgotten.. haha! It was great. I'm thankful for fun show tunes and musicals that can transport us to different worlds for a couple of hours. :)

Day 21

Today I am thankful that sweatpants are a thing. Honestly this week has been so long and I am tired. Sweatpants are just what the doctor ordered. :) I also have a blankie to snuggle up in! Ahh, it's the little things in life.

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 19}

Today I am thankful for my littlest brother, Luke. He loves me and I love him and he's so thoughtful. Today my mom bought milk chocolate chips (I am also thankful for that..!) which are mine and Luke's FAVOURITE. We like to eat a few out of a measuring cup every now and then, but we haven't had any in the house for a while, all we had for three weeks was the nasty semi-sweet chocolate chips and who wants to eat that? I think Michael Scott said it best.

Anyway, Luke saw that our mom had bought like four bags and got me and dragged me to the kitchen and pointed at the bag and said, "Is that real? Are they really in there!?" And then we high-fived and danced around the kitchen and then I got out the measuring cups and we had our selves some milk chocolate chips. Luke is just the best, and I love him and his happiness. <3

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 18}

Today I am thankful that I don't have any homework. Sometimes you just need a break from it, and for some reason it's way more satisfying when it's during the school week that you don't have any homework as opposed to the weekend or a break. I don't know why, but It's something about feeling free for 24 hours that is just wonderful. #TeamNoHomework!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 17}

Today I am thankful for my Digital Media class. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a graphic designer or an interior designer when I grew up, but last year I took Interior Design and this year I am taking Digital Media (graphic design) and I have to say, there is a stark difference between how I feel about each of them. Thanks to this class I can now say with confidence that I want to be a graphic designer. It is seriously SO MUCH FUN!! I LOVE IT! And I can say from experience that there is nothing worse than being stuck in a job you hate, so I am SO thankful for the little taste of each career high school has given me and the fact that I, Hannah Hancock, who can never make a decision ever, has actually decided what she wants to be when she grows up! YAY!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 16}

Today I am thankful that the sky is so so blue today. It's that clear, beautiful, robin's egg blue and I LOVE it. :)

.30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 13,14,&15}

Day 13

Today I am thankful that I don't have a 4th period. Home release is seriously the best thing ever invented. Also I make myself gourmet lunches on A-Days now because I just go home after 3rd and never go back to the school! :)

Day 14

I am thankful that today is Friday. It's funny. Throughout the day, whenever someone realized that it is, in fact, FRIDAY an immense joy fills the air (and no I am not talking about the snow. That stuff is nasty). Just say it out loud! IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Day 15

Today I am thankful that we have a real estate agent who spoils her clients. Mom and I are going to a special showing of Hale Centre Theatre's Catch Me If You Can tonight, followed by some fancy dinner that will probably taste amazing. It's going to be nice to just hang out with my mommy and also see a fun musical and eat good food. Much needed.

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 12}

Today I am REALLY thankful for my winter BFF. I'm the one in our family who is ALWAYS cold. Seriously, I am sitting here writing this post with fuzzy socks on my feet which are resting on the heating vent and my toes are still cold. And of course I always seem to end up with a cold bedroom for no good reason at all. So I have this friend of mine who keeps me warm and I L-O-V-E him! I cant sleep if I'm cold so having this guy around is quite wonderful.

I am just now realizing that this post so far sounds like I have an actual person who keeps me warm. This is not the case.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry, I had to find a way to use this photo in a post.. :)
ANYWAYS.

My real winter BFF is called Space Heater and I'm excited that we have rekindled our love for the coming winter season. Thankfully though, love, like this nasty freeze-your-face-off weather, is fleeting. I will be happier when I can be an independent woman again in the spring, but for now I am quite thankful that Space Heater is in my life.

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 10 & 11}

Hi, my name is Hannah and I like to press the "Save" button instead of the "Publish" button when I finish a blog post. Yep. So here's 10 and 11

Day 10
Today I am thankful that coats are a thing because I have 3 classes that are outside the main building on B-Days. I love my coat because it it a pretty blue color and the inside is so soft it feels like angels wings. I love my big blue coat.

Day 11
I am thankful that there is so much good in my life. Despite the frustrating things that happen, I have a pretty wonderful life overall. Good people around me, a good gospel to believe in, and good thinks I am fortunate enough to do (like go to school). It's nice when the good outweighs the bad. :)

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 9}

Today I am thankful for Sundays. They are wonderful! Just a day of rest and peace from the crazy world. I love it. As someone who has a crazy intense school schedule it's nice to take a break from the homework to spend more time on family. Because really, that's what it's all about, family.

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Days 7&8}

Day 7

Yesterday I was (and still am) thankful for the BEAUTIFUL sunrise! I didn't get a photo because I was driving to school, but I just have to say that whenever I see a sky like that all I can think is, "Heavenly Father loves us so much!"

Day 8

I'm thankful for reminders that we are all human, like the fact that I missed yesterday's post. Why did I miss? Well...because I had to go to school, work, and I have a little brother who had a soccer game that I went to to support him, and also we had to stop at the DQ after because he SCORED A GOAL! So yeah, basically life happened yesterday, but it was a good reminder that I'm human, and so is everybody else. :)

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 6}

Today I am thankful that there are people in this world who have gone before me and can give me advice. Those people are wonderful people. I am also thankful that I can listen in on some very funny and intellectual conversations that happen within my extended family. Whether it's books, religion, little kids, or what kind of ice cream makes someone happy, I am thankful that there are people around me that like to talk, debate, and discuss. People who think for themselves and question things. That sort of thing doesn't just come naturally, it's something you pick up on over the years. So, to my extended family, thanks for dropping a little knowledge here and there for me to pick up, it makes me a better person.

Love,
HRH

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 5}

I am going to keep this one short and sweet because I'm tired. Today I am thankful that chocolate is a thing. It is my favourite thing and I love it bunches and bunches!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 4}

Today I am thankful for Seminary! I just love it bunches and bunches! Today we had a really cool morning-side, it's like a fireside but in the morning when everyone is tired but happy to be there because they get to feel the spirit and eat doughnuts afterwards. The speaker was Brother Dirkmaat, a professor at BYU and an editor who is working on the Joseph Smith Papers. As my friend Whitney put it, "this guy knows more about Joseph Smith than Joseph Smith knew about Joseph Smith." Okay yeah, she was kidding, but he does know a ton about Joseph Smith and it was really wonderful to hear him talk about the Prophet Joseph Smith. Also we got to sing praise to the man as the closing hymn which nicely tied it all together.

Also did I mention the BOWMAN'S doughnuts? They were wonderful.

I also have a WONDERFUL, AMAZING, SPIRIT-FILLED, and AWESOME Seminary class this semester. My teacher is wonderful, my class is amazing, and the spirit is there and I just love it!

Seminary is what I'm thankful for today!

Love,
Hannah

30 Days Of Thanksgiving {Day 3}

Today I am thankful for books. Books are wonderful. I love them. Every time I look at my book shelf I see a bunch of different worlds just sitting there. They are amazing, aren't they? Below are some of my favorites.

Best Book You'll Ever Read!

LIFE

My mom has this one memorized.. I was an obsessed little girl.

My Grandpa Dennis gave this to me when I was little. I still read it. Dr. Seuss is good for the soul!

I love, I love, I love it.

In my top 3.

So much better than any other YA novel ever.

Funny, wonderful, also insanely quote-able and perfection on paper.

Comment your favorite books! I'd love to get some new book suggestions!

A chapter a day keeps the doctor away!

Love,
Hannah

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 2}

Today I am thankful for family (specifically my 41 (count 'em!) cousins)! I am thankful for my cousins and the examples they set for me. I am also thankful that we get to laugh and have fun together.

Below is a photo of my newest cousin. :) This sweet little boy was blessed today. I got to hold him and he smiled at me  and it just made my heart burst! (He didn't even spit up on me!) He is so precious and I love him bunches and bunches! Babies come straight from Heavenly Father and I am so thankful for this little angel's life. I mean look at those cheeks!

Yay for wonderful cousins and cute babies!

30 Days of Thanksgiving {Day 1}

Guys, I am so excited! It is officially November! Do you know what that means? No, it's not No-Shave November, and no, it is still not okay to play Christmas music quite yet. IT'S 30 DAYS OF THANKSGIVING! Yay! As Always, I am challenging everyone to post somewhere on their social media something they are thankful for, every day in November. Let's get the ball rolling, shall we?

*****

Today I am thankful for rice bags. You know, those kitchen towels that are sewn in half and filled with rice that you heat up in the microwave to keep your feet warm? I love them, and as of late I just can't seem to get warm! But rice bags seem to do the trick. I am also thankful for my mom for making them. She's the best. There is just something about this cold, ugly weather that makes me want to curl up and die because it's just so cold, but then I heat up my rice bag and everything is okay again. ;)

*****

Let me know if you are participating in 30 Days of Thanksgiving this year! I would love to see what ya'll are thankful for!

Love,
Hannah
